Hello,
We are two developers looking to develop a JRPG Top-Down RPG (the name we decided on is Re:Awaken). If you are interested in reading more about the project we have in mind, please take a look at this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HSB6mTvnsYCmPJp-80Pgxw9KWPs5GWvK/edit?usp=sh....
I am the main developer, I write the story, I write the scripted events, GUI, character interactions and so on, the other developer is going to be training ML models for the AI and code procedural dungeons and monsters.
The game is heavily inspired from the anime Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero.
We need a lot of sprites to make this game a reality, however, we cannot afford to pay a lot of money, we can barely scrape by 100 bucks a month, we can offer you this sum if you would like alongside the promise of receiving perpetual royalties from the game sales in a percentage that we could negociate, with this being said, all the art developed by you will be your intelectual property (I consider the perpetual royalties as a form of rental for using your sprites).
Theoretically, if we had all the sprites already done, we'd be able to ship the game in ~2 months from now.
If you read the documentation, you will understand that the gameplay for this game is not easy, but it is fun and rewarding, the controls are similar to Battlerite.
What are our plans for the future of the game:
1. After we release a fully functional RPG (Chapter 1 of the story), we will develop more chapters for the game which we will release as DLC.
2. Create a Co-Op Dungeon Crawler that you can play with your friends, with the character you used in the RPG story.
3. Create a Battle Royale mode for this game (not a separate game, inside of the base game).
4. Create a MOBA mode for this game (not a separate game, inside of the base game).
In regards to monetisation, we believe that just cosmetics (clothes, animations, effects) and episodal chapters (story addons under the form of DLC) are enough.
