Is there a video tutorial out there to show off basic functions, how to achieve certain common effects etc?

If not, I think you need one :)

There's no tutorials yet, but we are working on finishing the new UI rework, and we'll start making videos and tutorials. Also the new UI includes tooltips for every feature so it should be easier to use. :)
