Thanks for asking. We'll probably never be making the game playable in-browser. Difficulties we've faced with getting past projects to function in all browsers and on all devices have discouraged me from pursuing that platform.
The thought of running the game on an Android does intrigue me, I admit, though at this time, our team has not discussed making Perils of Aestus Forest an APK. That said, I have never personally worked on software for Android before, and I can't speak on the difficulties making our game run as an APK would pose. I will bring it to Cyrus for discussion, though.

As I mentioned previously in this thread, the game is not playable in browser, unless you mean that the downloaded HTML file is launched in your browser. We currently have not committed to any plans regarding APK installation.
Regarding Degrees of Lewdity, I don't believe the content, tone and intended audience of Perils of Aestus Forest are in any way similar to DoL. DoL is not an influence on this game, nor would I consider the two games to compete for the same niche.
EDIT: After some discussion with Cyrus, we have concluded that APK distribution is beyond our technical capabilities.
ok thanks, i just wanna know if there's a apk version in the future. And no i don't mean that your game is like degree of lewdity, but only your menu interface is kind of similar where you can expand the left side to get more menu option (option, save, etc) and the main screen where's the gameplay is in the middle/right side, that's why I just wondering if you guys gonna make it apk if the system kinda similar with dol. Had a few playthrough to understand the game mechanisms.
Grinded my way a few treasures at a time while exploiting the save game, to buy a ton of will potions, to then be able to race through the forest on the first few days to avoid paying any rent. It helped that i knew when do what from the books that i bought on other playthroughs
It ended up working after a few attempts. Saved the brother. Got subsequently disapointed. Tried anew to take a different path got stuck in a tree being beaten for all eternity. Tried to find somehow a good ending somewhere. Unlocked all available endings. None convinced me.
Some are better than others sure, like the angel bad ending isn't so bad, or even the golem i assume, but meh... Oh and the slime is pretty cute too, but i didn't like the ending all that much. As i said, i did unlock all of them. To answer your question i did so because i thought maybe there was a good ending hidden somewhere, somehow. But if there is it's not even in the list of available endings.
The story is well written, and the game mechanics while simple work well. Just the goal to achieve / the reward for that "epic story of fleeing and lying" isn't all that better than any of the bad ending you risk to encounter on the way. And absolutely no better than the situation prior to the event that led you to go on this quest. I mean with all his hoarded treasure the MC could... pay the rent for a couple weeks/months... That or grow his knob-of-a-dick a bit bigger.
I mean 4 inches? Really? Well at least that's a change from most porn game with their 15 inches. But i was almost tempted to cash in to make it bigger cause i felt sorry for the character - guys don't, it's useless in that game, try not to loose the little you have, it's more efficient. Big will potions are the mot cost effective way to go.
At least add a girlfriend he could buy presents to -or to who give the treasures as he finds them- could be a mechanism to upgrade the size of the will reserve -dude wants to stay faithfull to his little girlfriend and the action he gets every XXX points also allows him to resist better to the monstergirls teasing. Woud also allow to have non punitive sex, and could be another half decent ending. "Sure your brother is still in the forest, but your rich, married and happy". Heck kindda like the landlady ending actually, but with a young good looking thing and a bit of money in the MC's pocket.
Note that it could also be a whore. Or start as a whore and become a girlfriend over time, knowing MC might be her only regular -i mean if it only takes a stroll in the wood to get your knob polished and that most men turn to women over time, a whore might run out of business fast...
Could be a replacement for the will potions or work in parallel - although having both would probably reduce the difficulty, wich doesn't seem to be what you're aiming for.
Overall a nice game, even if i miss that sugary reward at the end. Feels like a meal without a dessert to me. Leaves me hungry and frustrated. But i guess the feminisation is supposed to be just that and that this game was just not for me.
But here comes an existential question . If feminisation is supposed to be the reward, then why do you get it only when you fail? Shouldn't it be what you're aiming/fighting for through the game? Or is it for people who don't want to admit they are into that? I mean that's not the first time i play that kind of games, and usually when you don't give in you get that "alpha male reward" that this game is so deprived of. Like, when i started playing i was half expecting my character to develop an immunity and for him to end up with a harem of monster girls...
I don't think i'm much of an alpha in real life, but i don't question my gender or my sexuality either. Some would ask why i played that game then. Porn, medieval fantasy, monstergirls. Those are three valid answers to me.

I want to start by thanking you for such a thorough piece of feedback! I'm sorry to hear Andrea's Hero didn't satisfy you. In terms of why there's no 'non-punitive sex,' well, this game was never meant to be vanilla . That's what I made A Whore of Ardor for, honestly, and if all you're looking for is medieval fantasy porn and monster-girls, you might prefer that game to this one.
For myself and a lot of people who enjoy these types of game, there's a special appeal to sexual content being tied to defeat. The thrill of knowing what I stand to lose if I'm overcome really gets me going, as does the feeling of powerlessness that can only come knowing I tried to avoid this and failed and got dominated. Put simply, this game is not intended for doms, as you seemed to infer. It is intended for people who enjoy the idea of being weak, of being desperate, of being dominated by another.
Further, as a trans woman who endured years of parental abuse and was made to see my desire to live as a woman as a point of shame, there's something kind of freeing about forced gender-bend scenarios. They are not the only type of gender-bend scenario I enjoy, but scenarios in which womanhood is forced onto me by someone else alleviate any guilt over desiring womanhood. |
As far as Alex's 4 inches go, cursory research would suggest that's quite average for actual cisgender men. If it is not clear by now, Alex is not intended to be some memetic hyper-Chad overflowing with masculinity. That said, if you want to go through the game with a huge dick, entering your name as "COWBOP BEBOY" will start you off with 24 inches and a massive stack of Shillings as well.

There are 10 Endings related to being reduced to 0 Penis Length by the various monster-girls. Using the Attractants Beatrice sells will make it easier to get specific monster-girls.
Hitting 0 Penis Length but refusing to go with the monster-girl who finished you off gives you the Maid Ending.
Going to the Adventurer's Guild, insisting that Camilla the Guild-Leader lets you into the guild and drinking the Full Moon Oaksplitter will give you a secret ending. There are also secret endings obtained by accepting Ms. Mauney's alternate payment method when you only have 1 inch of Penis Length, and by abusing the Quickshot Potions Beatrice sells until your Max Will is reduced to 0.
The dialogue choices you get when speaking to Andrea after reaching the end of the forest have three different endings associated with them. One for mistrusting her and touching the basin, one for persistently trying to push her into sex, and one for freeing her normally.
