I've been coding with Unity for the past 3 months at first I made a tower defense game but I got stuck so I decide to make another game so and in the process I learned about itch io. I plan to develop this game for a long period of time and I watch lots of videos and talk with chat gpt to tackle things that I don't understand but I have learned a lot in a short time. I've been sharing my game dev progress with some friends and family over discord but its time to go public.  The music and all of the sprites were create by me. I have plans to make the game more story based and add npcs who will be able to help you in game. I want to add a moral element to the game eventually where you will command a community of npcs and you will have to support them to earn their trust or let the zombies get them to save yourself. In its current state its a survival shooter with a infinite wave of zombies. Zombies drop ammo and water to keep you alive but if you run out of ammo dont worry you'll find some just might not get to it if the zombies are in your way.
My high score is 237 can you beat me? https://aollivierre.itch.io/gangstapocalypse
Next update will include local high score saving food and the ability to chop trees down to remove colliders for quick escapes and to collect wood to build barricades hopefully will have this set up by next Sunday!
