This ttrpg is a beautifully deceptive way to make me write an incredible magic academy horror novel! Honestly, the prompts are both inspired and inspiring and the book itself compels me to run through it, eagerly awaiting what happens next to my characters! I look forward to playing this again, and then again with my partner at some point! Absolutely amazing world to create and dwell in within these pages! I would and will recommend to my friends and those looking for a magical journey!

Also, what could be done to extend the play time, and have a little bit of a more "traditional gameplay"? I'm thinking of playing it with my spouse, but taking some responsibilities of gming as well, as she is a begginer in the rpg world.

I'm not sure what you mean extend the play time or "traditional gameplay." You can play as long as you want to answer the prompts. Some people have managed to play over the course of a few months, spending hours answering the prompts. Some only spend a few hours playing. Take a look at the free preview on the page to get a sense of gameplay, and I think that should give you ideas on how you can lengthen time.
Sorry for the delay, and the confusion. What do I mean to Traditional Gameplay is to have the a more... "moment to moment" gameplay, like some more standard RPGs (like World of Darkness, Dnd or Pbta, for example). As I said, this game is just with my wife, but she's brand new to TTRPGs, and I believe that taking some of the responsibilities of gming would help our game to move along. I'm currently having an ADHD/ Decision Paralysis with multiple games that would suit best to our situation, so I'm sorry if these questions are a bother, I'm trying to find the best suited game (or with minimal hacks) to our specific needs. I finally got this game and I'm planning on playing it with my sister who loves dark academia as a birthday present! I'm super excited about it, I made custom handouts with intentionally overly complicated sign up forms (she loves filling out forms haha) and for the sorting ceremony I used a golden pen to draw the symbols for the houses on acorns that we can pull from a bag. I will also set up four burning candles and we will blow out a candle for each year so it will progressively get darker!
I just played a solo session and I am blown away by the amazing prompts, setting, and atmosphere. I struggle with open-ended prompts on solo journaling games sometimes, and already use Tarot as a helpful tool a lot, so with the cards of the Major Arcana, all of a sudden the ideas just kept overflowing :D
I think my favorite are the horror aspects and opportunity for lots of ghosts and monsters, because I'm no Dark Academia expert but I'm all about that spooky stuff :)
Thank you for making this game I'm sure it will be a lovely experience of combining my interests with my sister's, and I'll let you know how it went

I've played it solo, and unfortunately it didn't quite work for me.
This game is very inventive, and definitely has a lot of great ideas in it.
The premises of many of the prompts are very intriguing. Some of the events that happened are reminiscent of fairy tales but have their unique spin on them. I feel that many of these prompts, on themselves, could make an adventure seed for a full game.
The atmosphere is great, the game is very flavourful. The art and presentation are top-notch. It really helped to imagine the academy.
But I'm afraid it didn't quite work as a cohesive experience for me. I've ended up with a story full of unconnected dead-end subplots. I admit that it's a "me" problem in a lot of ways, but I feel that there are game mechanics that contributed to that.
Compared to Anamnesis, the prompts in Tangled Blessings are much more specific, so it's hard to “make them my own”. Also, Tangled Blessings' Rival didn't provide a common focal point for my answers in the same way as Anamnesis' Shadow does.
I followed the suggestion to make the Rival a romantic interest. It was fun to write, but it devalued the ending. My character ended up being on the same team with the (former) Rival by the end of the game. So it became irrelevant who wins the final confrontation.
I'm planning to try playing it again later, maybe treating rules in a looser way.
