Love the demo!

I did find the instant death on spikes a bit harsh. Tho the fact that they reset your health (making health packs redundant) and the room made them useful too. I love the enemies dual function of obstacle and spring pad, even tho I didn't have to use the spring pad part yet. Animations look great! Looking forward to seeing more!

did you get stuck 3 rooms in? if not how did you get past it?

I'm going to try to not sound like an asshole. I managed to do 1 loop around and then WTF do I do? WTF does the "action" button do? Dodge being tied to the key it is without being able to rebind, for me, makes it 1/2 as effective. As there isn't a great way to keep going left then doge without causing a delay. The doge putting you into the air so you cant use it when you are on the spike floor seems to be intentional. However the room where when you jump to avoid the fireball likes to hit me mid air and kill me. I get it's based off an old game. The complete lack of direction in the demo drives me up a fucking wall tho. IDK did I finish the demo? Opened the purple wall at the bottom of the second screen. Saw something was on the path that was now blocked. Don't know what it is or if it is a thing I could even get. The other door with what seems to be a switch IDK what to do the "action" button doesn't work for the gray pale near it. Looks like a key goes there.  I'm sure I am missing something but without at least a sound que to know I did SOMETHING else IDK what you want or where to do it.  Transitioning to a room above you is also annoying. As I jump up and then fall right back down again. Leaving me unsure if I'm not able to get up there or if I'm not getting enough height as I get 1/2 second to peak at the room I'm trying to jump into.

Graphics and animations look great. I beg for the ability to rebind the keys. As they are it is way to awkward to do things. Would also be great if you could use a controller.
