In the controls on the itch.io page I saw a "parry" button. Do you have it from the beginning and if you do, how does it work?
That's an ability you get later on, after beating the third boss. It's meant to block, but it's actually not a great mechanic, as the parry window is so brief. Uses a bit of energy.
