Wrong Dimension was created initially as a run-n-jump game. To try and beat the levels before the timer ran out. That method felt ok for a while. Since we have now passed Steam Greenlight and will be moving onto Steam, we've been wanting to improve the game beyond what it was.
After spending some time thinking, discussing, and deliberating, we have decided to make a number of big changes to the game. All of which I am sure everyone will be quite happy for. Below is a list of what we plan to add or change for the Steam Release.
Remove the Timer completely
Add at least two new enemies
Change focus from timed runner to combat/exploration
Divide the game up into 3 themed level types
Add Boss battles at the end of each 'campaign'
Secret levels??
Special one-time-per-level weapons
View Distance options
With these changes Wrong Dimension will go from a fun arcade style game to a game with more substance. However, the price will remain at around $2.99 seeing as I always knew that the game needed more to be complete, and now I feel like I have found exactly what that 'more' will be.
I'm very excited to start adding these features and getting the game ready for Steam. Tomorrow, I am going to work on what I would consider the coolest enemy in the game!
