This topic is just purely my suggestion that I always wanted the game has this kind of mechanic.

I had already plans for the laid out specific available classes/roles on the game that have variants with advantages and disadvantages with the player's gameplay and how their choices will effect the story of the gameplay.
Leader: This role utilizes with party members to cooperate as one with his leadership capabilities to overwhelm opponents in every fight.
GENERAL (Leader Promotion): A intelligent and resourceful tactician and honorable leader on the battlefield always leading their party with high morals and discipline and destroy their enemies' with formidable defense and offense pushing them back to the corner.
Advantages: Allows the player to alternate to use bows and swords at the same time to make them more versatile balancing between close ranged and long range, Increases the initial counter attack default by 20% (For the Player exclusively only), All allies or party members receive 500 permanent HP and 45 more defense on Physical and 20 on Magia defense, Magic based party members have magia skills increased their magia- based damage (or affinity) by 2.
Disadvantages: Though such an formidable force to be reckoned be they more are completely vulnerable as they cannot dodge fatal attacks especially magia-related attacks as it is very fatal dealing 120% to the player and the party.
New skills Acquired when promoted as the General
FIRE! (Exclusively available if equipped with a bow) Allows the player to order out an rain of arrowheads to damage of all enemies (1 usage but has 5% chance to recast it on more time)
Fearless Coordinated attack: Unleash a coordinated attack on a single enemy dealing with a low chances of the enemy afflicting Confusion or Stun.
Bulwark Formation (Exclusively available equipped with shield) All party Members with Defense buff and preventing them to get any of these following negative stats (Bleeding, Torso, Head, arm, and leg injuries, cut tendons, stun, Blind, Confusion, Provoke, Berserk, fear, Slippery footing, and Sleep) but they are more vulnerable to other negative stats effect if they are not in the list (1 skill usage)
The Last Wall: Prevents the chosen party member to be fainted and received unlimited counter stance to give more time to the player to heal the party member from steps away of being fainted, However this skill will only work if the enemy deals normal damage but if they perform a critical or painful damage this can ignore the counter stance effect skill of "The last wall" thus fainting the member. (1 skill usage)
tactical retreat: Allows the player and party members to retreat to overwhelming force to live and fight another day, once they exit the battle they will be chased regardless (Only works on roaming monsters and will be locked once fighting a Boss, fighting a mini boss is excluded from this restriction) (Unlimited usages but 35% chance of escape and will make the enemy stronger once they catch up the player)
General Unyielding leadership (Passive): All buffs received are increased by 10% along with defense and agility when the General is active on the fight, this effect will be gone once they fainted and cannot gain the passive again fi they are revived in battle
WARMONGER (Leader Promotion): "I came, I saw, I conquered." a famous quote among warmongers making swift victories with their brutal and devasting tactics to instill fear among their enemies, as a conqueror and a bringer of war...there is no rules when it comes to killed or be killed nothing matters as long you conquer everything in your path even if it means to fight dirty.
