Will this game die?

Since Unity takes a large portion of creators' income, will this game cease updates before it can be reworked?

I’m not sure if this game is going to die? , it depends on what the developer says?

LillieX, has the developer responded to your question?

no

Oh, okay, the developer has a lot of work and doesn’t have time to reply to you. The developer will only reply to you after the game development is completed by the end of next year.

From their most recent post here

"Also for fans of My Dystopian Robot Girlfriend. The game currently is below the thresholds, so we will survive. I got a bit scared at first though. If we ever reach the 1m$ yearly revenue threshold though we will be forced to switch to a paid model. Otherwise we'd have to pay thousands of dollars to unity and we'd go bankrupt."

Also, from this thread about a similar topic

"Moving engines mid project is not an option. It'd take months for a most likely inferior product."

---

I highly doubt this game will die because they use Unity, and the devs have a plan for if they end up reaching the Unity monetization thresholds

This similar post is the result of my creating a new theme. I really don’t want this game to disappear and die, so my game saves will be in vain! ? , the abominable Unity charging regulations for the number of installations, and all the trust Unity had accumulated in the past is gone! , the Unity Prime CEO really messed things up and pissed off other Unity developers, no wonder other developers moved from Unity game engine to another Godot game engine to continue developing the game, so what am I waiting for the development of this game to be completed What’s the meaning? .
