End of Game (Finished) vs End of Turn Timer/Control Changes

I watched the YouTube video (very good) and may have missed this. At the end of a turn, the values of the Timer and Control dice are changed (plus or minus) based on the gear you are in. When you cross the Finish Line the "game ends". Do you calculate your score based on the present values of the Timer and Control dice or do you change the values based on the gear you are in as you would at the end of a turn and then calculate your score

The game ends immediately and you will count your score based on the current values of time and gear.

Keep in mind that your Timer will change depending on your type of finish; if it's a CLEAN finish or NOT a clean finish it. Then, you skip end of turn phases and count score.
