Insert Disk B

It keeps asking for me to Insert Disk B, even though it's been assigned through (Select Deathlord Scenario B Disk) the relorded menu.  I've also tried to manually override it by putting it in to Drive's 1 and 2.  Checked the config to make sure it was taking.  Not sure what else to try.  Any ideas?

I assume you’re using the latest version.

I will check if the scenario B disk is corrupt. Maybe that is the problem.

In version 1.0.7, both scenarios A and B seem to be correct. I've copied them inside the game (utilities menu) from the original masters, and the game validates both.

I just discovered this game from my past and I love it!  I am however getting the same error - Insert disk B.  Nothing ive tried works to get the game to recognize disk B.  Also, it appears my party is gone when this happens

Sorry this is happening. When does it ask you to insert Disk B?

Can you paste the content of the settings json file that is in DLRL folder? It should say what the game thinks is in the drives.

I'll see if I can recreate it once I get to that point again.  If I can, I'll post the contexts of the json file.  It has happened to me twice, traveling by boat to the southern hemisphere of the map.  After it happens, my party is gone and I have to start a new group.   I've already deleted the scenarios and restarted the game with new copies, so I'm not sure the json will tell you much at the moment.

Also - no need to be sorry!  Your enhancements to this game are an amazing addition to a great game.

I think this had something to do with me being in scenario disk hell.  I had a misunderstanding at first on how the emulator handled these, so I was choosing disks in the main folder instead of disks in the saved games folder.  I re-created the scenario disks through the game, created a new party and all is well.

oh great, i’m glad you got it resolved!

Yes I copy everything to a saved game folder, making a snapshot of every disk. It’s critical because Dathlord saves game info on both scenarios A and B.
I hope some day that qkumba (the foremost Apple 2 guru) converts Deathlord to a single HDV and gets rid of all the disk swapping. It would be ideal.
