I've recently discovered my interest in Game Development. And upon playing around, I found that I have the most fun when creating Visual Novels. There's just the problem that I'm not really much of an artist or a composer and have to use free assets. I am rather experienced in writing and I'm learning all about the coding right now, but that is where I hit the end of my abilities.
Right now, I don't intend to make money with this novel, as it is my first big attempt to get something set up. However, if against all odds it makes revenue with donations or something alike, I will obviously share it equally between us.
This is also supposed to be a free time project. We can schedule according to your needs the same way I need to fit work into my days.
Now for an idea of the VN I am creating, to see if you're interested:
The VN follows the protagonist (reader) who is joining a group of pirates as a new part of the crew, as it is custom (in this setting) to send someone off after the village is being freed by them. There are some possible routes to take and adventures to uncover, depending on how long you want to play.
The script isn't finished yet, which leaves us the option of planning some of the things together (including how many characters we want to implement or what kind of bg music we want), but I am estimating the story to be around 10k words. If we're getting bored with it, we can shorten it, or if we love the story, we can expand it!
It is NOT planned to be 18+. We can discuss everything, but any romance or action is currently planned to be SFW.

I'd love to see some of your previous work, but I don't have any high expectation. It's a hobby for a reason! I will gladly show off the first few minutes of the script with the free assets as placeholders as well.
Also, for the slim chance of multiple people being interested, I'm always open to turn this into a small team effort and making it a more regular thing than just a one time VN. But that's all open for discussion.
