Hello! o/
My name is Tetro and I'm the creator and lead developer of the online rhythm game Pulsus, which is currently looking for help with development, localization, and community engagement! Pulsus has been in development for the past 6 years with regular updates being released or progress reports given to the community, and the game is still active with players creating their own levels with the built-in level editor or hosting tournaments and sharing their scores on our Discord server.
Please note that because I don't earn much more than enough to pay for the servers for this game, all positions (besides development positions) are Volunteer until future notice, with no formal compensation. Development positions are entitled to rev-share based on activity.
There are currently two versions of the game being developed/maintained:
- Pulsus Gamma: The current live version playable in browser or downloadable on itch.io, made in JavaScript
- Pulsus Delta: The experimental/in-progress rewrite of the game, written in Rust with TypeScript/JavaScript for WASM glue code
Developers for the game will be expected to mainly focus on Delta development, though because of the time it will take to complete this, infrequent smaller updates are still being released as needed for Gamma. Delta is also in the early stages of being ported from TypeScript to Rust, though most of the framework has been completed and most of the code design/refactoring has been completed through the original TypeScript rewrites as well.
Other positions are also available, mainly for Translation work, with descriptions on the website linked below. Though there are also positions available for Event Organizing, Social Media Management, and Video Editing.
