Any hopes for Win XP build resurrection?

Greetings!
I saw a thread on Temple of the Roguelikes forums about WinXP build of SotW. Seems that such a build really did exist for some time and could be downloaded via SotW site.

I fully understand that maintaining such a build for an OS so outdated would be a real trouble but anyway, is there any tiny gleam of hope that you could make one?

I use WinXP for my gaming activity that encompasses old (and old-school) games almost exclusively, and SotW is definitely old-school, and looks so charming that I desperately would want to try it.

Thanks in advance for any kind of answer.

Unfortunately, what I was using to generate the XP build was built into the version of Visual Studio I was using at the time. A few years ago, this was no longer supported, and though there are apparently workarounds, what's officially deprecated seems to be outright broken:

The last version I made WinXP builds for was v1.0.2 (~2021 timeframe), which isn't linked on the site, but I keep all my past releases, and you can access it here:

If you're okay playing an older release, this might be a solution?

Thanks a lot for a clarification and the older version link. Yes, I think I'll try it, of course, although the changelog leaves me regretting the options I miss due to sticking to older version.
