Error with Windows 11

I am running Windows 11, and I get a constant Error whenever a disk change has to happen. It appears to be a permissions issue - but I have FULL CONTROL the entire directory and all objects in it (all images, assets, and the like).

Can you write me the steps to reproduce? I'm also on Windows 11 so I should be able to see the issue.

I got past the error message when it wanted me to insert disks. The problem was Norton - which I removed (bloatware). However, I am now just unable to play the game.

1. Download the zip file

2. Extract the zip file to local drive

3. Run the Deathlord executable (DeathlordRelorded.exe)

3.a. Get past the Windows Defender prompt (only asks me the first time)

4. I get the Apple ][ 'beep' and a twisting cursor that won't go away (waited about nine minutes while I made a grilled cheese).

And here it stays indefinitely (until I go to File and Exit)

I have tried running as "Administrator" and that doesn't give a different result.

Developer

it’s not loading a disk.

Try inserting the boot disk via the menu.
