I have the first paperback book. It is really cool and I love how simple it is. The only thing I would change is maybe the ability to upgrade your character and add a bonus to your attack when you battle monsters. Maybe you find a magic sword if you roll a 6 when opening a treasure chest. The magic sword would add +1 to your attack until you have completed that maze. That is just a little mod I have been using.
