👽THE KSP CLONE JAM!🚀

Join it here

This Jam's goal is make a Clone of -

KSP, or Kerbal Space Program, which is a sandbox-style video game that allows players to design, build, and fly their own spacecraft or spaceplane and manage their own space program. In KSP, players take on the role of the space agency's director, responsible for various missions such as launching satellites, exploring other planets and moons, constructing space stations, and even embarking on interplanetary missions.

This game provides a realistic physics engine that simulates orbital mechanics, allowing players to experience the challenges and complexities of spaceflight. Players must consider factors such as gravity, thrust, aerodynamics, and fuel consumption when designing their spacecraft and planning their missions.

You don't have to recreate all of it for the purpose of simplicity, but if you want to make all of it you can!

This Jam's goal is also to.... HAVE FUN!

Just remember this jam or myself has no affiliation to the original Devs of KSP(Squad and Private Division), and I just put this jam here for fun!

This is a 3D game themed Jam so I suggest using Unity 3D and some knowledge of the C# coding language.

RULES:

  1. Game has to be a clone.
  2. It has to have a start screen, a game instance selection menu, there has to be an isometric view of your VAB and launch pad, and a crew selection tab.
  3. Game must include 3D space map that track were planets are, and a rocket view, where you can track the rocket rot, throttle and staging.
  4. File must be under one GB, and a ZIP file.
  5. Has to be based of KSP 1.2

Vid of KSP you might want to see before you get started (VIDEO NOT MINE):

KSP be like:

I wonder how complicated the actual math would be going into creating something of this variety. I was never a star student at math in grade school so I guess that's why I don't have your enthusiasm. Either way good luck. Godspeed & good hunting.
