Before every game starts, a random number's generated that makes certain events play differently, which means the value you got makes Nolan shiny at the start of the game! This also means you'll have the chance to find the rest of the party members shiny as well! There's a handful of different things that can occur based on what number generates which means people might encounter different things from other's during their playthroughs.
