where are you getting your samples from?

also, some of these samples are barely audible while others are extremely loud, even from the same year! is this just how some drives are? the fujitsu in particular is basically impossible to hear.

i sample them from various youtube videos i don't have  good audio recording software to make them myself 

ah, okay. do you have a link to where you got some of them? maybe i i can get them at a higher volume.

Well i can hear a major diff

In the before 0.0.6 and including 0.0.6 there was no hearable border in the loop

And in 0.0.7 there is a regression as a KICK between begin and end of loop / ambience for each of device. it sounds for me like a raw KICK sample of 808
