I know this is a very silly idea but I do have a reason. I want to upload a very big game to itch.io (at least 5GB) and I know itch’s max upload limit (with butler) is a wooping 30GB! Still I know the bandwidth cost of hosting the game files is very high, so I don’t feel right with letting itch take on all the cost. I want an option to enable donations but all donations just goto itch. This is because I’m not going to setup payments to myself (and then set itch’s share to 100%) as it takes too much work and I think I’d need to request payout every single time for that money to be sent to itch.

And what I would want to see is a button on the buy page that says something like add extra tipp to itch. Right now we do not know, how much the percentage is, a dev gives to itch.

I am not sure how the taxation would work, if you set the slider to 100%.

But that button above would deal with that also, since it is made clear that it is not payment for the project, but volunatry donation to the site. There are consequences for payments to a project, regardless of the percentage set. Buyers own access to that project, even if you later set a minimum price and so on.
