Hi, my name is Matt and I'm the designer of Delta Sector. A sci-fi skirmish level wargame.
Delta Sector is mini agnostic (although there are cool things in the works regarding that 🤫) And rules light.
It takes advantage of simple rules and deep customisation. Allowing you to quickly pick up the game and get it to the table. The complexity comes from choosing which specialisation (class) your units should have, and then outfitting them with weapons, armour, grenades, and gear.
Delta Sector has rules for vertical play, allowing you to climb to new heights and perform daring jumps across lethal falls! (There are also plenty of ways to knock opponents off of those heights!)
The game utilises a random initiative, with token drawing. The "Action Tokens" in your colour can then be assigned to ANY of your units. Meaning 1 unit can perform action after action, or you can split those actions among all of your units. There are limits however. Move Action - may he performed twice per unit. Shoot Action - once Melee - once Cloak - once Interact - unlimited
Specialisations change how units interact with the rules, and give them unique abilities, often performed with the Interact Action.
Now, on to Armour. Any single Hit in Delta Sector is Lethal! Taking Cover, Cloaking, and Armour are essential to survival. Armour negates Hits, but you can only take a certain number of Armour Plates into battle, so you'll have to be careful. They are however, tradeable, you can rush in to blazing combat to quickly give your Sentinel those 2 Armour plates she needs to survive!!
There are many tactical decisions for the deep strategic thinkers out there!
