What does the Sultan want with the cog? Will I need it later?

I don't know what happens if you give it to Sultan but I do know that if you give it to the Scientist, he will make a "Robot" and it will help you with stuff. IDK, it's your choice.

At first I though of keeping it until the robot came back ( that's what I hoped ) so he would be like grateful that I kept it preciously ahah
But then I realised that it won't happen and that I had to use it. So I gave it to the scientist as @FazlyUU said. This "robot" serves the kingdom well. But now I wanna see what kind of bad use the Sultan will make of it :'D

We'll see if I'm right or not, but for the moment, it seems that the robot brought "happiness" to my citizens when the cog has been used by the scientists. So I assume that when we'll give it to the Sultan, maybe this would bring money ? Because that's his thing -

Aaaahh, so the Scientist DOES take the cog! I let the Sultan take the Cog and he brought technological devices for sale to my citizens, increasing trade and, by extension, my gold!
