I recommended the game to a friend and the game crashed with a vertex shader error. I'll try to get a screenshot of it when they are next available but if anyone has an idea what could be wrong let me know.

I assume this is the typical shader crash error that happens when you run the game on certain hardware without the DirectX End User Runtime installed. Installing it from the Microsoft website should fix it, there's also a link included in one of the readme files.
