Hi,

Started making something a while ago, not exactly sure what it will end up being, but hopefully it will be something people enjoy, I'll keep this thread as a dump for my WIP content and thoughts.

---

About the project;

A twin-stick adventure in a fantasy universe, venture through a vast world and find its secrets as you explore all nooks and crannies.

Delight mingled with terror of getting lost mixed with curiosity will motivate you to discover new areas, there are no invisible walls.
Easy to read landmarks will help you to remember locations and navigate through the world. Spaces are carefully crafted to utilize the combination of abilities, navigating the world is adventurous.

(Title pending)

You can try the latest build here: https://invalidnick.itch.io/realm-adventure
(Be aware that it's a very early development build, it's not a complete game)

---

Some screen grabs:

Emmer's Windmill

Emmer Fields (level 1-4)

(I'm not totally happy with how noticeable the transition from mesh to texture appears on the right most field, will adjust it later)

Birchwoods (level 2-6) at dawn, forenoon and noon

Sunset at Last light plateau (level 8-12),

A couple of (older) panoramic screen grabs (3k x 1k)
Right click + "Open image in new tab" to see it in full resolution

A mill house

Some stony fields

The visuals are absolutely stunning, I like this world, very inviting :)

Thanks :)

A couple of step-by-step screen grabs during the transformation of this area, using a mix of procedural and hand placed content

How the area looked before the fields were added

Adding the fields

Adding some trees and rocks to better define field borders

Final touches, more bushes between the fields and wooden fence

Emmer's Windmill, a new location in the world.

Also I've uploaded a early pre-alpha build, if you want to explore the world, find it at: https://invalidnick.itch.io/realm-adventure
Be aware that the project is in a super early stage, I'm happy to hear any feedback!

Soon the night sky in Realm Adventure will be filled with electrically charged particles released from the sun.  Auroras

The transition zone between Humid Continental Climate and Sub Arctic has lupines, crimson, purple and yellow

I've also started working on a main menu, incorporated into the world with full day and night cycle and weather effects

Hi,

Congrats on the great work, the game looks absolutely gorgeous! I especially loved the artwork on the mini-map and a more cheerful/colorful "The Lond Dark" vibes :) I would love to collaborate with you, do you need a music composer by any chance? I can even program the music into the game myself if you are using Unity engine :)

You can listen some of my music on my website www.tansutumer.com.

Peace.

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out! I listen to your stuff and it sounds great! Will definitely save your information for later!
Right now I feel like its a little to early for me to commit to any collaboration, especially since things will start slowing down during the summer, I will look to pick up the pace again during fall!

Thanks for your interest!!!

Thanks for taking your time to check out my music! I would surely be following the progress of the game and might even write some themes for you to listen if I get inspired too much :) Have a great summer sir!
