I'm happy to have conducted & published the first online interview with Roy Glover, the composer of the MULE theme song.

Check it out over at World of M.U.L.E.:

Roy is a great person and was a pleasure to talk to and meet.

This was great! There was so much information, and it's amazing that he actually composed the M.U.L.E. tune while making his own sequencer! It just seems to fit so well with the game's themes. It's heroic but also has that kind of robotic drum intro that screams, "Robot mule!". It's always been my number-one favorite game song. I have to admit, having grown up on the Commodore version, I actually prefer the lack of the extra voice in the break (Though I can understand why it bugs Roy). I also think the Commodore SID voice chip made the song sound way better than the Atari.

Thanks. I was super excited to meet Roy and finally publish it.

I agree about the SID chip. There a few things the C64 version does better--music is one of them. I was exposed to the Atari version fairly late; I remember enjoying the differences, like seeing the director's cut of a movie.
