Good Evening,

Looking for some help. I've managed to get the game running using the FS-UAE emulator on my MAC. However I can't seem to do or select anything while playing the game. I try open door on the first screen and although the character walks up to the door you don't get any dialogue. This seems to be the same no matter what I try with anything. I can move freely around and the intro works fine but when playing the game the dialogue is gone.

I'm wondering if this is this is to do with the fonts you mention. I'm having trouble located the SYS folder to copy them to. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Hello. Open your system device in FS-UAE  (mine is called System on my Macbook FS-UAE) . Some call it System, some call it Workbench, its the one with the Prefs drawer, Tools, Utilities etc drawers on it. Then right click on your menu bar on top and select the Windows menu, then in the drop down select Show all Files. That will open the hidden drawers in the Systems device. You will see the Fonts folder now. Do the same in the GQ3 folder you extracted all files to and you will see the Fonts folder in there. Open that one up, select all the files in there and drag them over to the Fonts drawer in the Systems device on your workbench. That will copy them all over.  Once you are in the games 1st screen  Left Click on the Look verb in the control Panel then Right Click on Geo's car. He should say " Yeah, that's my piece of junk"  Remember it is Left Click on the Verb and Right Click in the Game window to make it happen. (also a note, Geo can't open the doors to the building, they are boarded up. You have to figure out a way in.) Always try to look at things first before you try to do something with them. there are usually valuable clues as to what can or cannot be done. Let me know if that worked.

Evening, I think I now realise what was wrong. My Mac requires me to use two fingers to activate a 'right' click. Do that has allowed the dialogue to show. I have however copied all the fonts into the Fonts drawer but I'm not convinced this has changed anything. For example when I go to load or save a portion of the text is off the screen, same with some text when using items etc.. I note in the demo video the text looks very different.

Yes, it sounds as though the helvetica font is not in your Sys: Fonts drawer . The files in the GQ3  Font Folder are: 3 drawers named Helvetica, Grac1 and Grac2. Drag those 3 drawers over to your Sys font drawer, make sure they don't go into any other drawer in that Font folder. Then there are 3 files in the GQ3 Font drawer, they are Helvetica.Font, Grac1.Font and Grac2.Font. Drag those over to the Sys font drawer, make sure they don't go into any other drawer. So now you should see all 6 files (3 drawers & 3 files) in your Sys:Fonts drawer. If you don't then you dropped the missing one(s) into another drawer. Hope this helps
