About the Project
World

We're building a classic RPG world. A world the player can lose themselves in. A world that feels like it has been there for thousands of years. A world you can't stop thinking about.

We're also building the editor that builds the world.

In editor, the UI is meant as simple as possible. Balancing customization with simplicity, heavily inspired by Tiny Glade's philosophy of making each tool have delightful interactions.

Art / Graphics

Graphics are an intermediate step to evoking a feeling in the player's mind. Give the player's mind just enough polygons to imagine the rest.

We want to invoke a feeling of awe and comfort. The feeling you got when you first played World of Warcraft or your favorite RPG.

The early 2000s RPGs had soul because developers could afford to create much larger, hand-crafted worlds using low poly geometry. This was possible since each individual asset took less time to make.

We can keep the low-poly speed of creation, but update the look with modern day advanced GPU shaders.

How to Join

Join the Discord, and message _gamedevgrunt with a link to past work.

Anyone is free to contribute, whether it's a small asset, sound, music, or pull request. Your name will be on the credits, with an optional link to your portfolio.

Anyone can join the Discord to follow along or send feedback.

You need beta testing on the engine, no attacks, O and P crash the game, Javascript requirements block adblocker thus unable to be played, etc. Also, why discord, every time I see unserous projects it's always on Discord and the devs leaving after a month of inaccuracy. You better fix the engine if you want free work from artist.

Thanks for taking a look, I really appreciate that feedback. I'll fix that. Doesn't have to be Discord, open to ideas.
