I am currently developing a similar game, and I can't help but notice the seeming lack of direction. I find it fun to collect resources, upgrade my tools, decorate my house and all that. But... for what? Of course it's just a demo, but the way things seem to be going right now, this game has little if no destination, and it's fine to make a game like that, an argument can be made for saying that Minecraft has no direction since the End is basically just a place you can go to for riches and it's not even the actual end of the game. Don't Starve has zero direction as well, beating all the bosses and surviving indefinetely can be fun without something to actually drive you towards it aside from the difficulty of it. But I find myself wondering ¿what can this game become? And I really can't think of anything.

Terraria suffers from this issue as well believe it or not, yet it has such an enormous amount of content that you can't possibly get bored. But I can't imagine this game having a huge amount of content, or at least not until 10 years later. My game will be centered around combat with scaling and potentially infinite challenges, but it's not a solution that I think could apply to this game.
