This is a guide for the original combat system in Hicked.
During the battle you will not be able to roll back until the end of the battle. Saving before each battle is recommended.
Attack system
You will have to play a minigame to be able to cause direct damage to your enemy. Each time you attack you might receive a counterattack from your opponent which causes 1 damage to your hp. Which can also be a quick way to lose your hp in case you want to lose the battle on purpose.
Attack has 4 results: Hit(Critical), Hit(Normal), Barely hit & Missed.
Each result will cause different amounts of damage to your opponent.
The attack system is still unstable and the minigame bar might stop moving at somepoint. In which case, you might click the HINT button on the top right to reset the minigame bar.
Talk system
Each battle you will receive different skills to use depending on the opponent. Each skill has a different effect .
Skills can be helpful as a more efficient way to recover hp/cause damage/end the battle without attacking your opponent.
Heal & Defence
Both actions won't cause damage to your opponent in most cases. Continuing using both can help you make it till you run of of turn but in some case, you won't win the battle by just run out of turn (mostly when the battle is against human)
Some skills can also cause these two actions to bring damage for example: Induce can make your defence become a counter attack and Call for help can cause damage to your enemy each time you recover hp.
