Played the game again after many years…

I found this game at an interesting part of my life. I was in the middle of high school and needed it more than I knew. Years later, college grad me needed this too. It’s crazy how a game like this has age so beautifully. The characters are still so complex and compelling. Their stories are so good together and stand-alone. None of that surprises me though, make great characters and great arcs and you have story that will last forever. The dialogue is what’s really is amazing, it still holds up great despite the times changing. I’m sure one day it’ll look aged, but I’m glad today is not that day.

I also final got around to doing open ended mode after completing all routes again (I couldn’t remember a good chunk of each so it was nice seeing everything again, but having it feel like the first time). And I just can’t believe this game is so good and well thought out.

It hurts me to know that Emmitt’s and other routes most likely will never get finished (I remember liking Beau the most in HS. Now I love Emmitt’s story and his growth. I finish it amazing how Robin and his friendship to almost-relationship works), but maybe I’ll make fanfic to fill in the hole in my heart.

Overall, I consider this game to complete, even if I wish I could see the end of some routes or scenes added to others in Open-Ended Mode (like Owen). Thank you for making such a lovely game!

I still check in occasionally to see if there's any updates, I was obsessed with this game when I first played it and it will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my favourite games on itch.
