Hey everyone,
I'm a programmer and recently I wanted to start working on a Papers please style game. While Im trying to do the art I realized I cant do it, because my skills are just not there. I got inspired by the game Lil' Guardsman, seeing a lets play and so I bought it, and got dissapointed slightly (underused potential and lack of consequnces of choices, that did not matter at all).
When it comes to a specific game idea, than I dont have a definite thing set in stone that I would want to create, since I was mostly playing around with the mechanics. While I have some ideas, I would like to find someone to colaborate on it and the game would be a result of some brainstorming sessions, os it is fun for both of us.
I'm looking for a passionate 2D artist to bring the game's visuals to life. I personaly I would chose between a vibrant painted art style (Lil' Guardsman) or with an ink drawing style (Rubber hose), reminiscent of old cartoons.
Role Needed:
- 2D Artist: Skilled in creating engaging and charming ink drawings and animations. While my preference is for an ink drawing style, I would be even open to other art styles or even 3D if you can convince me it would enhance the game, because I think this styles give it a certain charm.
Requirements:
- Passion for indie games and creativity.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Be 100 percent sure you want to really work on the game and it is not something you will abandon the next week.
What You’ll Get:
- A chance to work on a fun and unique project.
- Creative freedom and input on the game's visual style.
- Note: This should be a collaborative project and not a paid commission. The goal is to create something amazing together as a passion project in our free time.
If you're interested in joining the team or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at zelenytomas665@gmail.com (not a comment, because I never read those, so there is a 90% chance I will not see it). Having said that, let's create something amazing together!
