Filter restrictions

I'm not sure if this is the right place to comment on this or if there's already a way to restrict filters but I can't take it anymore. I mean, could there be a way to restrict game filters? I'm tired of looking for games and having to go through a thousand visual novels.

If there is already a way to do this, please tell me. If not, I think it would be a good idea.

A negative filter system is often wished for. There are no official responses to this, that I am aware of.

At least for genres that might be something to consider. I have seen pages where you could tick on and off a limited set of selectors. Genres are a fixed list. Tags are not.

If you can run tampermonkey scripts, I made a tool for that. Only works for the main genre though.

You can also use a bookmark to utilize the undocumented tag filter system. Add "?exclude=tg.visual-novel" to the browse url. You need to be logged into your account and it only works for one tag/genre.

It might also help to look at the recommendations or browse for tags you like and are rarely vn.

If you often browse the same set of tags, the third tool on the project above might be more helpful. You can tick off games you already know and hide them.
