Different Controls?

I tried using the WASD keys to move, but for some reason they don't work.

Instead, my game uses clicking as a form of movement and I'm not sure why.

(they also use the arrow keys as I have come to find)

So far, no issues with these different controls but I'm just confused by it

As far as I'm aware, RPG Maker MV games (and RPG Maker games in general?) never used WASD controls without additional scripting having to be done to support it.

Oh okay. I must be too adjusted to games that use WASD controls. thank you

lol the game was made to be play with the mouse too I spoke about it in a topic, that is why she move a bit after you release the arrow but you need arrows keys to move not AWSD...

hope this help you

The character "moves a bit after you release the arrow" because movement in RPG Maker isn't pixel movement - you can only move between 32x32px (I forgot this was changed in MV) 48x48px blocks (unless specified otherwise, since RPG Maker MV the block size is configurable).

Also, mouse movement is only an addition to movement functionality introduced in RPG Maker MV because RPG Maker MV had to support touchscreen devices, all other RPG Maker versions used arrow movement.

But… UNDERTALE was made on rpgmaker no? It stops immediately

No, Undertale was made with GameMaker.

ok

thanks lol. I didn't realise

Ummm...

Whenever I start up the game to go to the settings to change them, I press Z to confirm but it doesn't do anything. I also pressed x after that to exit, but my settings are the same. Im really confused.
