There's a buyable item that lets you befriend enemies if you let them digest you for a bit without struggling (until the heart appears), where you'll stop taking damage, that counts as feeding them, not when you're completely digested (also not all enemies will have this, if they continue digesting you after the heart appears, they dont have anything special for it)
