like the title said i start the game get out of the dumbster go to the next area and i can't do nothing clic on the arrow try to move nothing try to clic on the girl on the ground with an exclamation mark nothing clic on the girl standing nothing reset the game same problem

Based on what you said, it sounds like something on your PC is blocking the autosave function from working and causing a soft crash. Most likely an anti-virus software. There are a few things you can try as a work around.

1. Try moving the game out of your downloads folder and on to your desktop.

2. In the Mac version of the game folder there is a .swf version of the game this can be played with the Newgrounds player found https://www.newgrounds.com/flash/player.

Is it the same process as downloading through the itch.io app or is there another way to get around it?

never mind if you open it through the file itself instead of the itch app it works.
