Gameplay loop feedback - Hunter Gather Division

This is just a prototype demo that I have for my alpha and beta testers to play, the game itself is a lot larger than that one small level and normally each stage will have a boss, secret rooms, puzzles, and minigames. The game is a looter shooter where you enter other dimensions and collect resources for the HG company.

 I am looking for feedback on the gameplay loop, how it will work in the actual game is each time you pass through the portal it will send you to the next dimension/area with each dimension having a theme and enemies based around the dimension. Upgrades will be found in the level itself as-well as given as a portal reward.

I am currently working on reprogramming the entire game as-well as remaking all of the art and sfx which is why the demo is just a single level looping with a small item pool.

Update: I decreased the first levels difficulty and added a shove feature, pressing SpaceBar will stun any nearby enemies for around 2 seconds causing the red guys to stop following you and the turrets to stop shooting you, the range is very limited so it will only hit enemies that are basically touching you

Update: added the 2nd dimension all about plants, this brings in 2 new enemy types. I also fixed a few bugs and tweaked the difficulty to be easier
