Simulacosis

Simulacosis is about a world on the brink of collapse and the dying space vessel that’s simulated its mirror image.

Ejected passengers are tasked with colonizing and taming the mutating wilds; discovering
the mysteries of the simulation, the vessel and the planet in the process.

What is it?

A Tribalpunk Survival RPG: Simulacosis focuses on colonizing, crafting, questing, base management, and exploration.

  • Primarily players will be creating, building and maintaining bases as they migrate through different maps. Progressing the story by stabilizing the environments they pass through, completing quests and milestones to the end goal of uncovering the storyline and creating a habitable planet.
  • Players will have the option of playing counterproductively to that end, by destroying bases, overtaking maps and actively destabilizing the environment, completing quests through different pathways, or entirely ignoring those aspects and forging their own paths.

What to Expect?

As we progress with the development of Simulacosis, we aim to provide a structured and transparent roadmap for the project. This includes regular updates on core development milestones, detailed breakdowns of new features, and iterative improvements based on community feedback.

This will give you access to a variety of things here on our patreon, including:

  • Art and Aesthetic Design

We’ll be showcasing the visuals that bring Simulacosis to life, including concept art, character designs, environments, and UI elements. You can even expect to see technical demonstrations of how assets are created and integrated into the game, along with insights into the design choices that help shape our tribalpunk style.

  • Gameplay Systems

Through devlogs, videos, and live demonstrations, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how these systems are developed, from initial prototypes to polished features. We’ll be sharing step-by-step breakdowns of functionality, show how players interact with these mechanics, and open the floor to community feedback through polls and surveys.

  • Narrative Direction

As we progress we’ll be sharing aspects of the world lore, including races, factions, and cultures. You’ll see character spotlights, detailed breakdowns, and previews of dialogue, questlines, and story arcs. There will also be opportunities to name, contribute and pitch ideas, making it a collaborative and exciting experience for all of us.

  • Audio Production

Examples of our sound environments and  previews of the game’s soundtracks, sound effects and vocal narration.
