Hello,
I've got some feedback for the current Download Keys and Key Groups functions, and a suggested solution.
There's currently an inconsistency between how (single) Download Keys and Key groups work. The difference relates to products with individually priced files.
When creating a (single) download key, the user is greeted with the following options:
If you have a product that has individually priced files, let's say for example:
Your product/game/asset is priced at $10, but when a customer pays $12 or more, they also get the deluxe version or the game's soundtrack etc.
The above options don't allow you to pick which individually priced file are included in the download key, it defaults to only the base/default price. In the cases where the default price is free, a download key will only give customers access to the already freely available files, effectively making the download key useless.
However, when creating a Key Group, the following option is added:
This 'Unlock Price' option allows you to set an effective price for a key, giving the user the ability to specify which individual files are meant to be included in the generated key. As it stands this only works for creating key groups (generating keys in bulk).
In practice the problem can be circumvented by creating multiple key groups that consist of only 1 key, but this is somewhat unintuitive and makes the single 'Download Key' function useless by comparison.
Suggestion:
It seems that the functionality of selecting an effective price for a key is already in place, my suggestion would be to add this to (individual) Download Keys also.
Thanks for your consideration,
Kay
