Can my Saboteur plant a trap in a building I've infiltrated? I just learned the hard way that you have to hold onto a Church to retain the VP. That should be in the tutorial.

Yes!

I'm trying to launch the game and keep getting an error saying "This game requires a version of Adobe AIR that cannot be found...". I have installed/uninstalled AIR a few times now and still get the same error. Any help with this would be appreciated, really looking forward to trying the game!

Are you trying to play on Windows or OSX? What OS are you using? Do you get any other error messages or just that specific one?

Developer (1 edit)

Can you try downloading and launching the game through the Itch launcher, and see if that works? (You do not need Adobe AIR installed to run the game - that error message is an AIR bug. Grrr.)

Running it on Windows 10. I actually ended up getting it to work last night. Think it was an issue with the shortcut on the desktop because when I launched it from within the folder it worked fine. Sorry for the false alarm but thanks to you both for the prompt response :-P.

Also, excellent game. I had an exorbitant amount of fun playing it with my friend :)

Awesome to hear :)

I haven't tried to, but with the asynchronous gameplay and not 'submitting' your turn until it's over, how does the game prevent you from cheating to avoid hitting a trap or burgling an empty house? (IE you start your turn, run into a trap, alt-f4 out of the game, then reload)

Developer

The game is saved after each move, so if you quit and resume, you won't be starting your turn over from the beginning.

Any thoughts on making a linux version?

Sadly - Linux and Adobe Air don't play well together. Not planned at this time.
