get stuck after milking cow in second trying

Leaving Hazel's house caused all the things on the ground (logs, stone, tulips, etc.) to turn invisible, leaving and entering the area seemed to fix it.

I can't plant potatoes in the game, or water the ground?

The characters get stuck moving right and left at the same time indefinitely on a loop, they walk a few squares and each time that character is going to move in another direction (up, down, etc) it glitches and this happens. Even the major in the intro does this, and unless I skip it it does not progress further.
