Have you stopped development?

I'm just wondering. There is a lot that I like in this roguelike, and I'm wondering whether you plan on doing more with it, or if you are done.

I really enjoy the game, although I do wish there were more defensive options. It seems nearly impossible to get a decent melee character going, and merely very difficult to get a magic user going. I've had no luck with archers or thieves whatsoever.

Developer

Hi drazool!

In a way, I'm "done". I don't consider the game complete by any means, but I don't see myself working on it anytime soon.

I've stopped working on this project and gave gamedev in general a big break. I lost quite a bit of code back in March, which taught me quite a heavy lesson on backups, which were sporadic, to say the least (I still got all the code, just without the progress since last release). But more importantly, the project just grew very big (aka "messy") and difficult to maintain and balance, wasn't really enjoyable to work on anymore. I found myself postponing the next release date repeatedly, because I couldn't just sit down and get the work done the way I could back in 2016/17.

Glad to see people are still enjoying this game though!

That's a crying shame. I think dungeonlike has some extremely fresh, good ideas. I have some complaints re: difficulty/balance, but on the whole I'm super impressed with it. C'est la vie, though. Thank you for your hard work on the game, and I wish you fulfillment and happiness in your life.
