There seems to be some scatological content mostly in the writing that I personally absolutely cannot tolerate, including things like "shitpipe" and talking about the asshole "squeaking" which is basically farting. This kind of thing is an instant turn off and makes me sometimes dread reading the text that goes along with an image, and something tells me I'm in the majority. Can we at the very least get some kind of option to replace this content with other language, like how there's an option to switch masculine characters with feminine ones in the options, or hide this kind of language behind an opt-in?

You are not in the majority. I believe content opt-in has been suggested though. 

I'll jump in and say I kind of agree. It never gets so bad I can't enjoy the game, but the writing can definitely feel like it's dancing around the edge when it comes describing butt-stuff.  Just slightly over-focusing on the literal "dirtiness" of the acts. Like its wants to get as close as possible to being really "dirty" without crossing into scat.

But I'd guess  there wouldn't really be any easy to "fix" for that though, since 1) It's kind of just part of the writing style. 2) Actually going through every line of flavor text in the game that's just little "too dirty" and writing replacements would be tedious, and wouldn't be as important as other game features.

Maybe we can get this kind of update someday, later in development, when the game is more finished, and when devoting the time wouldn't take away from other elements.
