Living weapon may be too strong

Living weapon seems to gain unfathomable damage growths after leveling once

Tried version 7.6 on hunted to see how fast would I die compared to rogue difficulty. That aside the staff dropped at the intended stats for level 1.

kept fighting an alpha scrag to level the staff until I lost an arm and had to replace with a hook hand. Once it hit level 2, the damage suddenly shot up to 1d36 damage and it only seemed to keep growing the more I used it.

If this is only a fluke that's understandable, but I doubt it was meant to immediately one shot an elder scrag .  If there's a way to balance it like smaller growths for faster leveling; or having higher experience caps for the exponential growth that would be welcome.

I just ran into a similar problem with the living club.  It seems that at level 2 the damage die increases with each passing tick.  Additionally, while in a menu, you can un-select and re-select the weapon to watch the damage increase.  This was fun until I encountered a Scrag that one shot me with over 120 damage.  I know Scrags don't really do that much damage.  Further tests indicate that all natural attacks had increased exponentially.  Hope it helps!
