i have 4gb of ram and 1 gb graphics but still this game is laggy. please help !!

Please make sure you have the latest graphics driver and check if you have DirectX11 or above.
Yes, I updated my graphics card earlier a few days back and yes i have directX 11. still laggy

was it an nvidia driver you updated
if so revert back to previous driver as there was a problem with the latest driver from nvidia
