[Suggestion] Casual Games twice quicker

Hello ! I have just purchased the First acces #2, and am still learning the ropes.

I have noticed that there is a trick which would make casual games twice quicker :

Right now, the player have to wait after every single turn :
Blue turn 1 - waiting Red - Red turn 1 - waiting Blue - Blue turn 2 - waiting Red - Red turn 2 - waiting Blue - Blue turn 3...

But, if every turn we swap players order, they will play twice in a row, skipping one "wait" every turn :
Blue turn 1 - waiting Red - Red turn 1 - Red turn 2 - waiting Blue - Blue turn 2 - Blue turn 3 - ....

I reckon, it might have some consequences on game balance, so it would have to be tested. But it would make casual games as quick as if players turn were simultanuous.

I think this would make it into a completely different game. Assassinations would be trivial, and keeping gangs alive would be nearly impossible. Saboteurs could be worked around completely, and it would be much easier to sneak in a bribe. I'm not sure the same set of rules would make a workable game in both live (alternating turns) mode and casual (double turns) mode.

Hey vfabien, thanks for posting!

Yeah - a lot of the game's strategy is about properly reacting to what your opponent just did (and about predicting how they'll be able to react to what you're about to do). Double-turns is an interesting idea, but what Kenbutsu says is true - it's just not really compatible with the Antihero ruleset.

The "Live Games" feature is Antihero's answer to "let's make this move along faster!" ideas. Currently, because we have a small player base, Live Games are lobby-based. But when the game hits 1.0 and every man, woman, child, dog, and parakeet on earth buys a copy, we'll turn automatching on for Live Games as well. (Even if there are some parakeets that don't end up getting the game.)

Oh yeah, I hadn't realise that double turns would change that much... That would have been too easy ;)

Playing on smartphone will also make the gamemuch quicker : for many, it is easier to pop in and pop out on these devices... I'll try live games too.

Yep - the game will come to iOS and Android phones & tablets some time after the PC & Mac versions ship!
