Hi - there is probably a really obvious answer that I have overlooked but how can you transition  from one map to another?  

Create an object (https://rpg-paper-maker.github.io/basics/objects-and-events/) for the transition location and use teleport object command for the Hero (https://rpg-paper-maker.github.io/basics/event-commands-overview/#teleport-objec...)!
