Bugs:

One found by mistake, another one was found on purpose, with which one do I start? I'll start with the one I found by mistake.

  1. Graphical bug when I attempted the bug I wanted to cause on purpose, my character was holding the spike club you find at the school and when I tried to leave the building and race to the door before the gay rainbow laser kills me, my character's club got stuck to the window, after spasming for a bit and dying, I respawned and the game had graphical junk on the upper corner of the screen. No idea how it got there, but whatever it's still a bothersome graphical glitch.
  2. Okay, so I wanted to do something crazy, I wanted to taunt Mrs. Slitherss into killing me, but also escape the area to see what happens. Will the monster keep shooting me off screen or stop? Turns out her dialogue is too short to allow that, but instead once I managed to reach the door, my character died and whilst falling the game continued as if nothing happened, the bat then sucked me off which removed the "Press e to restart at checkpoint." cue and replaced it with "Press q to skip cutscene." afterward when the bat spat me out, both cues were gone and no matter how much I would press the e button, it wouldn't respawn me.

Weird and unintended stuff, unsure if you would fix this, but it is certainly not intentional so yeah.

  1. I purposely failed the quiz at the start and left the building, well to test how far she can shoot. This caused the monster to reset her dialogue and not do anything to me, so yAAy? Honestly, that's a non-issue, but just wanted to report that because since it seems to be unintentional you might want to fix that, but again it's not an issue.

Anyways, you can trust me to find stuff to break. I'll post again if I find any other bug.

Suggestions:

  1. Let the player close the game in the main menu if they hit the escape button, that's not rocket science! The game can be played fullscreen and IF it is played fullscreen, I can't close the game normally, unless I hit the windows key or ALT-F4. Imagine someone that's not tech-savvy playing this game and then doesn't know how to close the game, atleast put a cue that ALT-F4 can be used to close the game if you won't program the escape button to close the game.
  2. I hate the lack of consistency this game has, you have the usual Banjo-Kazooie noises for some characters, but others are fully voiced like Mrs. Slitherss and the bat and then you have nuances like Mrs. Slitherss having a tts for a voice and the bat seems to be voice acted by a person.
  3. The game doesn't always remove my PC's cursor and that's hella annoying if you get me. Also since the cursor seems to move even when I am focused on the game, it could accidentally leave the screen if I play the game windowed, most games would simply block the cursor in the middle of the screen to avoid those issues, but this game doesn't do that.
  4. The UI could be improved TBH. Also the camera shouldn't move if you're in a menu, it's disorienting. Another game (that's actually trash mind you) called Candice Debébé has this issue too and it is still a fucking pain even years later and I wanted to forget this game ever existed, but then I play Juice World and boom PTSD with the menus. I think you get the point, block the camera in place if someone opens a menu or atleast put an option to disable the movement of the camera if someone is in a menu.

okay dude, constructive criticism is good, but you just sound like a jerk here. This game has been out for like 2 weeks, it’s not going to have everything perfect, game design takes A LOT of time, as for the graphic mess, go into the setting menu, and mess around with the graphics slider, that should fix it

Can you PLEASE tell me where do I sound like a jerk?

Thanks Spectifyy ^^

Cool, thanks for the feedback and please do keep trying to break the game.

  • I can add an exit button.
  • When the story is more fleshed out I'd like to hire some voice actors, but there will probably always be some characters that talk that way.
  • The graphical bug sounds like a known issue with the pixellation effect, try disabling pixellation in the settings.
  • Mrs. Slitherss letting you off the hook if she blasts you out a window is intentional, but not the sequence of events you describe with Batty coming to drink your juice and the respawn prompt breaking.
  • I did not know the cursor wasn't locking sometimes. Does it help to hit escape and then click?
  • You don't like that? Yeah I can add an option or something. I like the ability to still kinda fight while you pick stats.

"I did not know the cursor wasn't locking sometimes. Does it help to hit escape and then click?"

It is hard to tell since once I enter a menu and then leave it or when I enter into a dialogue with another NPC the cursor disappears as intended, but when the cursor was visible after I started playing it could move wherever it want and that's a problem if you play in windowed mode.

I think that even if the cursor was invisible it could still move outside of the window.  That's my point it should never be able to move at all during a playthrough, unless it is needed (Like when you're actually in a menu).

I'll work on it, thanks! I know the cursor currently doesn't lock when you load/start a game, until you click, so I can at least fix that. Hopefully there are no problems in the menu logic but I will look.

If you need a voice actor, I'd be glad to do to it for FREE  ;) .  Great game by the way!
