Just something to think about...

I am someone that isn't fond of games that require arrow/wasd sequences. I'm wondering if there could be an option for the space bar to be used in a timing sequence instead? Maybe as a part of a difficulty setting or something, so that those that enjoy arrow/wasd sequences can still do them at a higher difficulty. "Casual" could be space bar," Normal" could be arrow/wasd.  Normal could be a bit more rewarding by increasing the chance of better rewards.

Hey there thanks for your input. I’ll keep it in mind. I assume you are referring to fishing, which more than a few people seem to have had issues with in terms of difficulty. I’ll keep what you said in mind as an option. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility. At this point though there will probably be a look taken at the fishing minigame regardless as it seems to cause a little too much trouble for people.

Hi there, here are a few recommendations from my side:

1. The intro should be MUCH shorter. It gets a bit boring to immediately have to go through much dialogue and scenes, and if youre relying on people skipping through this than you have not made an interesting game.

2. The player should not be given so much at the beginning, especially by such an important NPC. He literally just came and already has his own place, and some weird trust from those around him. Not saying the NPC should be mean but they should be colder and more hesitant towards the NPC at first in order for the player to build rapport. After 5 min of playing, i lacked the motivation to do anything because i felt i already have achieved the status i wanted. For example, Baldrick gives me his name and asks for hardworking people… few minutes after meeting me. What makes him think im so trustworthy.

3. Does this game have music or am i playing it incorrectly. Good music is essential.

4. The walking animation is off, seems strange. I cannot help but laugh

5. You dont need to explain everything in the first 5 minutes of the game, let the player learn as the game progresses through cutscenes initiated when the player does something related to it (e.g. a cutscene for selling items triggered when the player harvests its first crop).

6. Drop the "people around here are very nice". Its repeated way too often. Actions speak louder than words.

I criticize because I think this game shows promise. These arent bugs but make the initial user experience poor.

Overall in this current state i would not play the game, not because of any bugs but because im not invested. Also, did i miss something or did my character just accept the new life and forget about the fact he has amnesia and has washed up ashore?
