I have recently bought a barn and it's fully built up, so I assumed that I should have been able to walk inside of the barn, just as I can with the fowl house. However I can not do that. I bought a sheep to see if I could walk in now that there is an animal inside, but no I can still not go inside it. How am I even supposed to feed it?

That would be a bug, I’ll look into it immediately. I’d recommend not playing the save until the next hotfix which should be sometime later today. Animals can last 2 days without food I believe. Did you build this barn and then patch the game?
